A day in the life of a Tow Truck Driver

To most of us, turning up to work every day is something that we would all prefer not to do.

Be it that you have had a ‘big night’ or that simply you would rather be at home on the couch watching a movie.

Now imagine that turning up for work each day meant the probability of seeing horrific accident scenes.

This a scenario that most of would not be comfortable with, but this is what our drivers face every day.

To get more of an idea as to what these driver go through, follow the link below to hear 612’s ABC Brisbane reporter Rebecca Livingstone spend a morning with one of our drivers.

So know that you have a better idea of what our drivers go through every day of the week, you may think how can I be of assistance?

  1. Please be aware of flashing lights. Tow truck drivers, police and ambulance officer’s lives are put at risk everyday by people not taking care when passing accident scenes.
  2. If you do see an accident occur, lend assistance where possible (e.g. notify ambulance / police)
  3. Slow down on the road. Be the solution, not the problem.
